FAQ

Questions worth answering before you ask them.

If something's missing here, it's a fair question for the scoping call — or just email us directly.

Anything charged to a project that doesn't hold up against what was actually instructed, approved, or delivered — unsupported variations, unverifiable day-work claims, duplicated billing across packages, or retention that was never correctly chased down. It's covered in more detail on the services page.

There's no fixed timeline — it depends on the size of the project and how quickly the relevant documents come through. We'll give you a realistic estimate on the scoping call once we know what we're working with.

Usually just documents and data — interim valuations, variation instructions, subcontractor accounts, correspondence. It's a desk-based review of your cost data, so site access isn't typically required.

Yes. Anything you share with us is used only to carry out the audit, handled directly by the two of us, and isn't shared further without your agreement.

We haven't set a fixed minimum. Bring us your project on the scoping call and we'll tell you honestly whether an audit makes sense for it — including if we don't think it does.

You get a clear, evidenced report on what we found and what it's worth. Depending on your project, we can also support you in pursuing recovery of what's been flagged — we'll talk through what that looks like on a case-by-case basis. The decision on what to do next is always yours.

It depends on the size and complexity of the audit, and terms are agreed individually after the scoping call. There's no cost or commitment attached to that first conversation.

Send an enquiry with a bit of detail about your project. We'll come back to you to arrange a scoping call — no obligation, no cost.
